👋Welcome! Sales got smarter, but did it really change? This edition explores how AI is reshaping the sales world, what still depends on human connection, and where the real advantage now lives.

AI & TECH

🤖 Bad Bots Claim Most Internet Traffic
Automated bots now account for 53% of global internet traffic, with malicious "bad bots" alone nearing 40%. AI-driven attacks surged 12.5 times in 2025, enabling bots to mimic human behavior and target critical APIs. Financial services are hit hardest, suffering 46% of all account takeovers, as firms struggle to distinguish legitimate AI agents from sophisticated automated threats.

🤖 Smart Fridge Scans Fingers For Health
Dreame’s new concept refrigerator uses AI and biometrics to manage family nutrition. The unit identifies 10,000 ingredients with 97% accuracy, using a robotic arm to organize groceries. By scanning fingerprints or smartwatches, the fridge syncs with personal health data to suggest tailored recipes, transforming a kitchen appliance into a proactive, data-driven health coach.

🤖 Wave Powered Nodes Drive Clean AI
Panthalassa is launching autonomous Ocean-3 platforms that convert wave motion into electricity to power AI workloads at sea. By eliminating land constraints and subsea cables, these self-propelled "nodes" act as floating hydroelectric dams, delivering clean energy for approximately $0.02 per kWh. The system targets terawatt-scale compute using satellite links to shore.

🤖 Earth AI Slashes Mineral Discovery Time
Earth AI is building in-house labs to reduce mineral sample processing from five months to just five days. By vertically integrating drilling and analysis, the startup aims to clear a 7,000-meter data backlog and optimize real-time exploration for copper and platinum. This move allows their AI models to direct drills with unprecedented speed and precision.

THE DAILY TECH WATCH

World Record Strength. Eight Government Contracts. Limited Shares.

A Guinness World Record sounds like a novelty, but it served as clear validation of the strength and real-world capability of RISE Robotics's technology

Their Beltdraulic™ system set the record for the strongest robotic arm prototype ever built, demonstrating performance that is relevant across many sectors.

The arm is key to modernizing Munition Handling Units used by the Air Force, which recently awarded RISE a $3M contract. This is RISE’s 8th contract - a result of delivering successfully on past awards.

The company has raised over $27M and just opened up a limited allocation of shares to retail investors.

CAREER & GROWTH

📌 AI Skills Drive Entry Level Hiring
4.2% of early-career jobs now require AI skills, nearly double last year’s share. Tech leads with 32% of roles calling for AI expertise, followed by financial services at 7.4%. Despite 62% of seniors feeling short-term pessimism, 85% are self-taught in AI, signaling a generation ready to build their own workflows amidst a tightening traditional job market.

📌 AWS Launches Amazon Quick Desktop Agent
AWS has unveiled an always-on desktop AI agent that proactively manages workplace tasks. Amazon Quick builds a personalized "knowledge graph" by securely connecting to local files and third-party tools like Slack and Salesforce. Unlike reactive bots, it monitors real-time data to automate workflows, helping early users like BMW and 3M reduce task processing times by up to 80%.

📌 Musk Trial Challenges Future AI Governance
Elon Musk’s landmark trial against OpenAI explores whether AI should be public property or a commercial asset. Musk argues the "for-profit" pivot betrays humanity’s interests. The verdict could dismantle OpenAI's $852B empire, forcing a return to open-source roots and potentially setting a legal precedent that mandates radical transparency for all future AI development.

Stop making AI decisions in the dark. Understand AI usage.

Leadership is asking: are we getting value from AI? Where are we exposed? Right now, most teams have no idea.

Harmonic Security automatically maps every AI interaction into the use cases driving real work — so CIOs can rationalize spend, CISOs get risk in context, and AI committees get proof of impact.

MONEY IN MOTION

BIG THINK
Is the Sales Universe Any Different with AI?

At first glance, it feels like everything has changed. Sales in 2026 is faster, more automated, more precise. Messages are personalized at scale, leads are scored instantly, and outreach sequences can be generated in seconds. AI has embedded itself into almost every step of the process.

The numbers seem to support that shift. Around 87% of sales teams now use AI in core functions like prospecting and forecasting, and many report strong efficiency gains. Some teams even see large increases in lead generation when using AI tools. On the surface, it looks like a clear transformation driven by data and speed.

But a closer look reveals something more complex. Despite wide adoption, only a small percentage of organizations have fully integrated AI into their sales systems. In some cases, only about 5% manage to scale it effectively across the business. That gap between access and real impact is where the conversation becomes more interesting.

Sales has always been a human interaction. Trust, timing, tone, and intuition still play a central role. AI can suggest what to say, but it cannot fully understand context or emotion. Even in highly optimized environments, many leaders remain cautious about relying too heavily on automation. Relationships are difficult to reduce to patterns alone.

There is also a subtle shift happening beneath the surface. AI is taking over repetitive tasks like data entry, follow ups, and initial outreach. That creates more time, but also raises expectations. If everyone has access to similar tools, differentiation becomes harder to achieve through volume alone. What stands out more is clarity, relevance, and understanding of the customer.

So is the sales universe different with AI? Yes in its tools, its speed, and its reach. But at its core, it still revolves around people. The fundamentals have not disappeared. They have become more visible. Understanding needs, solving problems, and building trust remain central. That may be the most important shift of all. AI is not replacing sales. It is highlighting what actually matters within it. In a landscape where many tasks can be automated, the human element becomes more valuable, not less.

NOW WHAT?

  1. Use AI to Prepare, Not Replace:
Let tools handle research and drafts, then refine with your own judgment and tone.

  2. Invest in Listening Skills:
Understanding the customer still creates the biggest advantage. AI cannot replace genuine attention.
